We offer beautiful, seasonal, and scented English flowers, cut directly from our flower field. These blooms have natural movement, vibrant colour, and a lovely fragrance. Our farm stand is located on our driveway, just down from The Swan Inn, Woods Corner on South Lane. Flower bunches are available from 10am on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, from May through Sept/Oct, They are available at £12 a bunch, which is payable by cash or QR code. Hello, I'm Tara, and I run Thistle Cottage Flower Farm near Dallington in the beautiful East Sussex countryside. My love for British flowers began in childhood when my parents ran a small flower farm supplying top London florists. I have fond memories of packing my mum’s Mini with fresh blooms like roses and nicotiana and driving to London at dawn to deliver them. The scent of nicotiana still takes me back to those early morning adventures.
After a career as British Airways cabin crew, I returned to my roots in horticulture, retraining under the RHS. I started growing and supplying cut flowers on a small scale, and in 2021, Thistle Cottage Flower Farm was born.
I’m passionate about growing seasonal, scented British flowers straight from the field—blooms with natural movement, vibrant colour, and fragrance that haven’t travelled halfway around the world. I offer, farm stand bunches, gift bouquets, and subscription bouquets, and you’ll find me at local markets throughout the season.
